Product description

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray provides medicated analgesic and anti-inflammatory rapid relief of inflammation, pruitis (itchy skin) and associated conditions.

Hot Spots & Irritated Skin:

Pet parents must pay close attention to environmental, dietary and situational ailments irritating your pet’s skin such as: allergies, fleas, tick bites, matted/thick/dirty coats, sun burn, wet dogs, or anal sac disease. These ailments can cause you pet to chew, lick, bite, and scratch those areas – at times – to no avail, which can become very painful and dangerous for your pet. Sometimes chewing can even be prompted by boredom. Hot spots and inflammation can occur quite rapidly after a pet starts itching, biting and licking these affected areas – which will prompt the development of painful, red, and moist irritated lesions. These lesions are called hot spots, also known as acute moist dermatitis, and must be treated immediately.

It works!

I wasn’t convinced by reviews on other websites that this product may actually work that well, but list of ingredients was very promising. Our dog got some contact dermatitis, or some allergy that neither us, or even our vet could figure out the reason and poor dog was scratching his belly and sides every few minutes. After 4 – 5 days of using the spray dog stopped scratching completely and his skin looks very healthy again.
What is very important is that scent of the product, being quite pleasant for humans is not at all offensive for our dog and thanks to immediate “cooling” effect after second use the dog was laying down belly-up the moment I got the bottle in my hand. Also the combination of ingredients is such that the dog tried to lick it off only after first application and never again. We could not use ointments prescribed by the vet without the dog trying to lick them off the skin until completely clean.
